A few of my favorite things

Spring is a time of rebirth and my house is getting ready to transform! (Don't tell my husband).  I am absolutely in love with greys, blues, and yellows together. The colors just make me happy and aid in my fantasy of living on the ocean (I live in the landlocked state of gross beautiful Missouri). My goal is to get a couple of rooms heading in this general direction.

So I've been told that an easy and cost effective way of bringing colors into your life is to do it through throw pillows.  Throw pillows are expensive yall!  So, I had a bunch (8 bed pillows hoarded in a hallway closet) of pillows lying around and I decided why not use those to make throw pillows.  My friend got my Dressmaker II (mini sewing machine) up and running and away I went.  These are some of my favo fabrics that I found.. and I plan on making slip covers for these homemade pillow forms.
